Vestavia

A trench with exposed white PVC pipes, one cracked, covered in dirt and oil. Grass is seen on the side.
Trench with plumbing pipes installed, person holding a rod. Outdoor setting with soil and grass.

are from a repair job we did in Vestavia. This started as a routine cleaning job, however after a camera inspection we discovered that the main lines had been filled with mulch from the flower beds. Both of the discharge ends had been covered with dirt and tree roots grew roughly 20-30 feet into the pipes. Most of the downspouts had been disconnected from the pipes by the previous homeowner and were dumping water at the foundation. The pipes, being disconnected, had filled up with mulch because it could not make it past the roots that grew into the pipe. We used our locator to find the pipes in the yard and make the repair without having to dig up the whole yard. One of the pipes had too large of roots to remove without replacing all of the piping (most of which was under the driveway), so we tied the two lines together since one was enough for the amount of water being moved.

Popup Repair

is a repair we did to two popup emitters in Chelsea. This customer had water backing up in their drain system and the yard was staying soggy in the front. Both pop up emitters were broken, pipes full of dirt and debris and the pipes were damaged. We replaced the pop up emitters, cleaned the drain lines and replaced the damaged sections with pvc pipe.

Channel Drain 3

A long, black drain with a traffic cone inside sits in concrete, next to grass.

This customer had water getting into their garage and needed a way to keep the water out. They also had water sitting on the side of the house from the downspouts. The house had a channel drain installed when it was built but it needed some attention. The bottom of the drain was incorrectly sloped so we resloped the bottom of the concrete drain and built a custom metal grate to fit perfectly over the top. We then tied the channel drain to a main line picking up both downspouts as well and discharged the water safely away from the home.
